Today (July 21), we all took a one-hour bus ride from our village to the river, where we went white water rafting! We were split up into three groups of six, along with an instructor for each group. As soon as we got our life jackets and helmets on, we started our adventure. It took us two hours to get to our destination down the river, and during this time we were able to swim, take a snack break by a waterfall, and enjoy the rapids. Everyone had a great experience and loved rafting through the rain forest! Our group is now at an outdoor restaurant, where we were served a typical Costa Rican meal: beans, rice, chicken, salad, and plantain. We’re all having a great time, and we hope to write again soon! 🙂
